Doing Business in Our Tees Valley

Carl Quartermain - Friday, September 12, 2014

Eight Five percent of visitors to the Tees Valley are here to do business, therefore the Discover Tees Valley website will feature strong links with the business community.

We will be a central resource for the business clubs events, advertising of businesses through the business directory and encourage visitors to look at doing more business with Our Tees Valley.

By encouraging businesses to network, we can build a better economy, creating more jobs and export opportunities for our goods and services. Over the next five years, the local economy will benefit from the new Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), the new leader program to help rural businesses diversify and the improvement in confidence in the business community.

Michael Janes MD of Tees Valley Tourism Alliance said, “The passion from the business community will drive success and build on our reputation for producing innovative technologies. The world benefits from Our Tees Valley because of our strong heritage and culture. We have a passionate community and workforce with a diversification into new industries such as subsea, renewables, biotechnologies and much more. This will change and create Our Tees Valley.”

We need to collaborate our efforts to change the area. We all can look inward but we need to see the vision of a transformed Tees Valley. What it looks like is the responsibility of all communities building together a strong, vibrant and passionate people. It starts with you!

If you believe in the same vison then sign up to be an ambassador for Our Tees Valley.
